& Donate
Donate
The Wimbledon Community Association receives absolutely no statutory funding and is therefore completely dependent on your support. Please help us to keep up the good work by making a donation.

Gift aid
Gift Aid is one of the easiest ways to make your donation tax-effective.
The Wimbledon Community Association can reclaim the basic rate tax from HM Revenue and Customs. There is no extra cost to you and the process is simple.
Gift Aid can apply to donations of any amount, large or small, by cash, cheque, postal order, direct debit, standing
order or even in a foreign currency (including the euro).
You must be a UK taxpayer for us to claim Gift Aid on your donations.
If you are donating by cheque or filling in a paper form, please fill in the simple Gift Aid declaration.
Higher rate taxpayers
As a higher rate taxpayer looking to reclaim tax from your donation, you must include details of your charitable gifts on your tax form.
Higher rate taxpayers can also reclaim tax relief from donations to charity in both the previous and current tax years, which means the relief is paid that much quicker.
Calculate your contribution!
For a donation of £100, this is how Gift Aid is calculated on the
donation:
£100 (donation)
x 22 (Basic rate of income tax)
/ 78 (100 minus the basic rate)
= £28 extra to the charity
Payroll giving
Giving regularly through your pay is an easy and tax efficient way to donate.
Payroll donations are great as they provide us with a reliable income stream that helps us to plan longer-term.
Payroll giving lets you give to any UK charity straight from your gross salary (before tax is deducted), giving immediate tax relief on those donations. This means that if you donate £10 each month it would cost you only £7.80 as a standard rate taxpayer, or just £6 for higher rate taxpayers.
Your employer could receive a grant of up to £500 when you sign up - so everybody wins!
You can give to any UK charity through your payroll, or you can split your donations between two or more charities. All you have to do is fill in a brief form with the amount you want to give and who you want to give it to.
Employers simply sign a contract with a Payroll Giving Agency (PGA) who will transmit donations on their behalf.
Payroll giving is a very low cost, low administration scheme and the set-up grants should cover all costs.
Legacies
Leaving a gift for the Wimbledon Community
Association in your will is a fantastic way to make sure we can continue in the future.
The Wimbledon Community Association is a registered charity, which means there is no tax to pay on money or property bequeathed through a legacy. Therefore, a legacy to
the Association may have benefits for your estate by reducing the amount liable for Inheritance Tax.
